New Era Bowling Tournaments 

New Era Bowling Tournaments was established to provide opportunities for bowlers to compete in scratch events in the capital region.  The initial target was the senior bowler... a special niche overlooked by tournament organizers in the area.  January, 2011 was the kick-off date for the N.E.S.T. (New Era Senior Tournament) event held at Westlawn Lanes.  N.E.S.T. format allows bowlers to compete against their peers in three separate age groups...The new age groups are 50-55, 56-66, and 67 & over as of 10/11/2014.

New Era Bowling Tournaments also conducts sponsored events for other entities or individuals.  Each year we host an over/under 50 doubles event...Digger's Doubles is sponsored by Ron Gardner and Gardner Excavating.  Our schedule also includes the CZR Century Doubles...a unique format that requires teams to have a minimum combined age of 100.  Chuck Radick's accounting and tax preparation firm (CZR FACTS) is sponsoring this event.

The NEST calendar year runs from September thru August and includes 12 monthly scratch singles tournaments.  Entry fee is $65.00... dues are $25.00 collected in increments of $5.00 per tournament.  1 in 3 bowlers' cash and advance to match game roll-offs.  All cashers are guaranteed a minimum of $80.00.
